Q: When is Crossmind going to be published?
A: The simple answer to this is: I don’t know. The manuscript for Crossmind is written. Initially, I wanted to self-publish the book but then changed my mind. This has several reasons. I’m a first-time author and don’t know much about the publishing industry. I live a very busy life; being a Mom of three and working as a doctor (which requires me to travel throughout New Zealand) leaves limited time for writing as it is. I’d rather trust industry professionals and hope to learn and grow as a writer with them over time. I have come to the conclusion that I would like to connect with an agent. I’m in the process of doing this.
Watch this space, and I’ll keep you updated.
In the meantime, I’ll be working on the sequel to CROSSMIND.

Q: What about Hunted?
A: HUNTED is a 20.000-word long novelette from Stoke’s POV. The manuscript is written but will likely have to be revised. It will not be published before CROSSMIND.

Q: Are you a full-time writer?
A: No, I wish. I have my own business and work full-time as an Occupational & Environmental Physician. I often travel for work. I am also a mother of three. My kids are 13 and 11 years and 3 years old. I write whenever I get a chance. At home in the evenings, at airports, in hotels, in cafes.

Q: Why do you write Science Fiction and Fantasy?
A: I always loved the possibility of creating new worlds. I find the unknown of the universe very fascinating. This doesn’t mean I’ll always be writing Science Fiction. I enjoy any kind of supernatural story. CROSSMIND certainly has many Fantasy elements in its storyline that will make it harder to place the book in either of the genres over the other. Especially when the plot moves into the second book. Saying that, there are also romance elements in CROSSMIND.

Q: Where are you from? Where do you live?
A: I was born in Germany and spent my childhood and teenage years growing up near Hamburg. After finishing university, I traveled the world and worked and lived in Scotland, New Zealand and Australia. I also briefly worked in New York State in the U.S. as a student doctor. I finished my postgraduate training in Germany. We left Europe in 2017 and are now living in the beautiful Bay of Plenty region in New Zealand.

Q: How tall are you?
A: 163 cm. I think that is 5’3 ft. Sorry, I grew up using the metric system, so ‘feet’ and ‘inches’ don’t mean anything to me. LOL

.
Q: Do you have siblings?
A: I have one brother. He is two years younger than me.
.
.
Q: Do you have friends living in other countries?
A: Yes. Actually, most of my friends live far away from me and are spread all over the world. That’s why the internet is so important to me. My closer friends live in New Zealand, Scotland, Germany, Australia, South Africa, the U.S. and Italy.

Q: Where was the trailer video of Crossmind made?
A: The trailer video was filmed in Turin, Italy.

Q: What kind of music do you like?
A: To name just a few: Avenged Sevenfold, Rage Against The Machine, Guns’n Roses, Nirvana, Eminem, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Queens of the Stone Age, The Kooks, The Killers, Blur, etc.
Saying that, when I’m writing I prefer to listen to classical music, especially Original soundtracks like The Gladiator, Pirates of the Carribean, Far and Away, Inception, … you name it. I just can’t hear myself think when somebody is actually singing in a song.
However, I often used to listen to Blackmore’s Night when I was writing my historical stories.
